A huge ravine sits in the mid north, with hilly regions following its line down the middle of the contanent.. A section of land in the south east is connected to the main continent by a land bridge. There is an island to the east of the main continant which has a small mountain range on its west coast. WELCOME

My name is Mikayla Johnson and I am an independent author.

This is a photo of the front cover of the book Stories From Thear. The cover is cyan in colour. There is a graphite drawing of Thear's main land masses. The main continent is in the center, with two islands to its north west, one to its east, and four islands to the south. The map is contained within a dark blue watercolour splash, creating the effect of the ocean. The title Stories From Thear sits at the top of the cover, left justified, and the author's name, Mikayla Johnson sits in the bottom middle of the cover.

Stories From Thear is a collection of two short stories set in the fantasy world of the planet Thear.

In "Ponderings of a Recently Retired Warrior", Andra is trying to help the civilian town of Ceepa, as the Elven and dragon battle draws closer. As she is the only one with warrior experience left in the town, the Mayor looks to her for advice.

"The Case at Jadestone Docks" is about Ebony, an Avian police officer, and how she solves her current case. Ebony has been working without a partner for a long time, but now her boss has assigned her George, a Human who has recently transferred to the unit.

This is a photo of the front cover of Seagift 2024. The cover contains a photo of a right orange thong (flip flop) on the sand of a beach surrounded by the edge of the water. Two small black rocks can be seen below the thong, and another in the top right. Two small shells sit, partially covered in sand, in the top left. You can tell it is a bright sunny day by the sun's brightness being reflected in the wet sand at the top of the photo. The title of the book Seagift 2024 sits in the bottom right of the cover in a partially see-through circle.

I contributed to the anthology Seagift 2024 with a short memoir piece titled "The Painting" about one of my earliest creative ventures.
